September 07, 2023, Primosten – Camp Adriatik, owned and managed by Hungary’s Dalmatie Group, announces the addition of state-of-the-art mobile homes to its range of camping facilities. Blending the freedom of camping with top-tier accommodation, the 36 new mobile homes provide an innovative way to appreciate the Croatian coast. Dalmatie Group’s decision to extend its camping offering in Adriatik Auto Kamp responds to the increasing popularity and profitability of mobile homes that are now rivaling 4* hotels in revenue per unit, according to industry figures.
“The popularity of mobile home camping in Croatia is definitely on the rise, especially among families. Our mobile homes offer a unique integrated holiday experience: the proximity to nature coupled with modern conveniences.” – said Danijela Grubisic, Director of Camp Adriatik.
The 36 32-square-meter air-conditioned mobile homes in Camp Adriatik come with modern appliances, and satellite television, and boast a spacious covered terrace. Guests can enjoy views of the sea and sunsets. With additional space in the living room, each mobile home can accommodate up to 5 people.
Tapping into the trend
The Croatian camping sector has 833 campsites with a capacity of more than 255,000 guests and accounts for as much as 24% of all overnight stays by tourists in the Republic of Croatia.
Sectoral statistics show that after years of unprecedented challenges, 2022 marked the resurgence of tourism, with the camping sector being a standout. Currently, mobile homes generate almost the same income from accommodation per unit as four-star hotels and are becoming serious competitors to them, as well as to lower categories of hotels.
“Mobile homes, not just a passing trend but a pivotal aspect of the European camping narrative, are becoming especially appealing for the majority demographic visiting Croatia – families with children”, pointed out by Danijela Grubisic of Camp Adriatik, adding that Dalmatie Group invested in excess of EUR 1.9 million in the installation of the mobile homes.
Naturally attractive
Surrounded by pine forests in Primosten, Adriatic Auto Camp offers a genuine retreat. 80% of the area is shaded by dense pine trees, complemented by holly oak and olive trees. The camping is capable of accommodating up to 1500 guests per night on pitches averaging 110 square meters, and in fixed caravans and mobile homes.
A standout feature is the camp’s strategic location. With the sea just steps away, families can effortlessly enjoy beach activities.
Amenities include a 24-hour reception, an a la carte restaurant, a café and cocktail bar, a beach bar, a well-stocked market, and a fruit stand. The camp also boasts facilities specifically designed for children and differently-abled guests, as well as dedicated areas and beach sections for dogs.
Additional features include animation programs, a floating aquapark for water-based fun, a souvenir shop, tennis, basketball, and beach volleyball courts, a soccer field, as well as convenient on-site parking.
